The Beginning of Love: Full Figured Wedding Dresses

I was attending a church in South Los Angeles.   A friend of mine invited me to hear his father preach at a church in a not-so-friendly part of town.   Weeks past by and his nagging finally paid off.   I stepped foot in his fathers church in August 2011.   It was a nice surprise.   I had know both his mother and father for over 20 years, but time and life gets in the way sometimes.     As I sat there I began receiving what had been missing all those years.    God.    He was beginning to work his way back into my hears.   As the weeks passed, one Sunday morning in November of 2011 I decided to rededicated my life back to the Lord.

As I proceed to make my way up to the front of the church my friend grabbed me and hugged me.   He had no idea as to what I was going through.   I was hurting from life.   A previous relationship had destroyed me and I needed restoration.    As I was taken to the back room and given the Lord's Prayer I was welcomed by many people who were members of the church.

A couple minutes had passed and in she came.   Alexandria was her name.   She welcomed me to the church, I said thank you and that was it.   You see, there was no initial spark.   As church ended I spoke to my friend, the pastor and a couple of the church members and given instruction on what to do next.    As weeks went by I began to consume the word of God.   I did not know he was working on the from the inside out.

In December of 2011 I was talking to one of the ladies in the church.   It just so happened to be Alexandria's mother.   We were talking about real estate (my favorite subject).   We had gotten on the subject about real estate in the south.   You see, my brother in law was visiting his Grandmother in Atlanta, GA and was talking to me days before that about Atlanta Real Estate.

I became interested in Atlanta Real Estate and wanted to speak to someone about how real estate was in Atlanta.   I asked Alexandria's mother if she would give here daughter my real estate business card so that she could ask her daughter to call me and talk about the real estate market in Atlanta.   She agreed.

January 15 2012 is when Alexandria called me.  We talked 20 minutes about real estate.  we talked the next 3 hours about life.

The next day we talked to for 4 hours.     About life

The day after that, we talked to for 6 hours.     About life

On the 4th day.   I told her that she was a cool person and i couldn't talk to here anymore. I was in Los Angeles.   She was in Atlanta and that was it.   No explanation, no nothing.   I didn't want anything.  Not even a friendship.    I mean she was a cool person, but I was focused on God and getting my life together.

That night something happened.  I prayed to God.   "Give me someone like Alexandria, but not Alexandria".   Give someone close to me, but not her.   Give me someone with her heart, but not her. The more time passed the more I began to realized how stupid I was being.

She had called me up about 2 weeks after we stopped talking.   She told me that she had found a church home.   I knew how important that was to her.  I was happy for her.   We talked on a Sunday.   we talked from 1pm in the afternoon until 11:30 that night.

After we got off the phone I said to my self what the ____________________ was that?

After that conversation, I felt like I knew her for 15 years.   It shook me!

Several days later I wanted more than a friendship with her.   We officially started dating on February 6, 2012.

And the rest is history!    We got engaged April 25, 2014 and got married October 18, 2014.

I can truly say that God has his hand in this.

I married my dream!    Love you Sweet :)
